Hi, I’m Catherine, though most people know me as Cat.
Cat’s House of Wax began in 2013 in the tiny kitchen of a Bushwick, Brooklyn apartment. What started as a personal search for a little more calm and relaxation quickly grew into a love of candle making. Before long, the apartment was filled with so many candles that it earned the nickname "Cat’s House of Wax".
Today, I pour in Queens, creating thoughtfully handcrafted candles, body care, and home fragrance designed to bring warmth, comfort, and a little indulgence to everyday life.
Every piece is made with quality, creativity, and attainable luxury in mind. From beautifully fragranced candles that transform the feeling of a room to rich, velvety body butters that turn an everyday routine into a moment of self-care.

The Apple Orchard room spray is perfect for fall! If you are like me and prefer fresh crisp scents instead of overly vanilla/pumpkin fall scents this room spray is for you.
This was a blind buy but nonetheless I trust the quality of Cat's products and she did not disappoint. The body butter smells amazing and is very moisturizing - not greasy or oily at all! I ordered the Black Cherry Merlot body butter and will be ordering more in different scents
I bought this scrub, together with the Mango Coconut Milk, and the Turmeric one. They are all so creamy and the scents are on point: noticeable but not overwhelming. Every time I use them, my skin feels smooth and clean. Definitely coming back for more!!!

Catherine was great to work with! Got a candle for my friend who recently lost her young husband to Covid. Not only did she send it twice (I didn't realize my friend had a PO box as her mailing address), but she sent extra tea candles just because. My friend said the candle smells and looks amazing and made her cry. Highly recommend!
